2010 SHOW@ THE DOME…
Well it might just be me but I think it was a waste of a £5 the show was poor with at most 25 stands ! And unless you were picking somthing up or meeting old friends I would say in my own opinion give it a miss !!!
I went my self to meet Steve Burditt and son in law Mick who also race pigeons to swap a pair of breeders ,While waiting for Steve I had a tap on the back from a friend from the past, Gary Green of (Wasley Bridge H.S) I used to visit the gardens were he raced birds with his dad a massive man and Gary is no diffrent being 6ft 4ish, in the early ninties thay had a good 500mile cock called (The Monkey Cock) and raced a good chanel bird but as somtimes happens like with me people pack up only to start again….
I last saw Gary in Doncaster about 5months ago after 8 year gap while out shopping with my lovely lady in a girly shop ,this massive person caught my eye after a few minuites I walked over and had a word (not sure what he was doing in there?) hahah…Im not casting any aspertions ! After a chat he told me he had packed up which I was suprised to hear, we went our seperate ways after this chance meeting….Only to hear a month ago he had started up,which I was pleased to hear (when the bug bite’s it never go’s) so Doncaster dose have its uses ????

Doncaster Racecourse
Living near to the racecourse this show gives me a very good opportunity to get out and have a good luck around meet old and new friends. The good thing with a web site is you get to talk to new people all the time, my idea with this trip was to get a few bit’s for myself and for grandad and give you all an over view of the show.
This show is a great meeting place almost central in the country for most people and it just breaks up the off season a little while giving you the chance to stock up before breeding. The show which is held at the racecourse with great access from the main road networks M1, A1, M18 & M62 making it a fantastic place to meet. It seems to increases in size every year which can only be a good thing for the sport and might be a sign that the sport is in good shape?

As I said I was there for some selfish reasons but my intensions were to give people who haven’t made it to Doncaster an insight into just what is on offer at this very well run show! There are lofts on show stalls with equipment, books, clothing, birds for sale, medicines, suppliers of loft goods and studs.
