After a few changeable weeks and the Newsome Family train up and running its nice to see a 1,2 for the farther & son team of K&K Rowland taking 1st & 2nd club there second bird being a yearling cock flying well,Well done guys 3rd club The Newsome Family who wave been flying well and 4th club go’s to K&K Rowland who have a strong team of sootjents & a few buscharts these guy’s are the ones to watch in the coming weeks…..

Dew to on going transporter problems(pic below) this is only the second race of the season…
The birds were basketed at the fed head quarters on firday night and libed in a west wind with showers on rouite the winning vel was 1467.296 so as you can see thay came very steedy!It was a clean sweep in the club with Johnston & son taking the first seven in the club all 2008 cocks flown on widowhood flying very well the first birds is a Leo van Rijn so was the second and the next was a grondaler….well done boys that’s some flying in anyone’s books….roll on next week
lets hope the transporter is back on the road and keeps going for the rest of the year….

libed @9.40 in a light east wind ???
Before this weeks result im going to stick out my neck and say the wind when libed might be right but on route the must have been some south in it with vel’s a cross the country in the 1.700…almost a mile a minuite….
This week’s result:

2nd club K&K Rowland flying a 08 cock on widohood,Keath is still doing well after at the sad loss if his dad Ken…

4th club A&W Shortridge flying a 2007 cock Adrin is doing well this year with a good team of Gaby’s..
With the vel’s up there most people will agree the wind must have had some south in it or the first 4 birds fast ?

Ive added a let board on the front of the loft ready for an ETS or a stall and it has made it handy for the young birds getting out everyday for a good look around with a small pen for them to sit in ….pic’s below

I have got a few pic’s of my new y/b loft in the garden and the four young birds I have in it , Loft has been up for a couple of weeks and im just starting to make a few changes and as these move forward I will keep you all up to speed and any tips or advice is always welcome….
New y/b loft in the snow this week...
The loft is facing the line of flight and my house backs on to fieldso im hoping the birds will fly out that way and stay away from the house’s ?
Im also going to put a fence down the back of the loft and screen it from the house’s and keep the people dpwn the street happy? (hahaha) we all know that will never happen…..
